Happy Thanksgiving!!

Well it is that time of the year when I get to contemplate about my life and all of the things that I am thankful for. I think that sometimes it helps me to remember what I am thankful for if I write it down, so here is my Thankful list in no particular order:

1. I am thankful for my parents and for the good examples that they are to me. They have taught me well and are the best parents ever.

2. I am thankful for my siblings. Our relationships have changed over the years and I am so grateful for the many fond memories that we have together too.

3. I am thankful for my husband Travis. I love him so much and I can't picture my life without him. He is the best ever!

4. I am thankful for my children. I didn't truly understand the love for a child until I had one of my own. My life has been touch and blessed so much for being able to be a mother. I love each and every one of my kids. They are all so special to me.

5. I am thankful for loving in-laws and for and for all of there love and support. I can say that I have been blessed to marry into two great families, each of them great in there own ways.

6. I am thankful for my home to live in and for the clothes on my back.

7. I am thankful that we have jobs and food on the table at a time when so many people are suffering.

8. I am thankful for my testimony. The love that I have for the Gospel and our Savior continues to grow everyday. I am grateful for the atonement and the agency's that I have.

9. I am thankful for the freedom's that we have and for being lucky enough to be born a citizen of the United States of America. We live in such a great country. I am proud to be an American!!

10. I am thankful that I get to go to school and pursue a degree in education.

These are just a few of the things that I am thankful for. There are so many more things that I am thankful for and everyday I find more things to add to my list. I am so thankful that there is at least one day set aside each year that I can think about the many people and things that have blessed and changed my life.

Fall Wreath Round-Up

Time for another round-up! As I am getting ready to have a baby this week I thought that it would be a good time to post about all of these amazing wreaths that I found. One of them will be the lucky winner of being my new wreath for my front door next year.

Which is your favorite?

Berry Wreath Etsy Fall Wreath- Monogram Wreath- Christmas Wreath- Winter Holiday Wreath- Valentine's Day Decor- WEATHERPROOF Berries

I love the berry look. It is so refreshing and beautiful. The monogrammed letter of your last name make's it so personal and adds to the look. I found this idea here.

This wreath is my favorite so far. I love the berries and the felt flowers in the rich fall colors. You can find this here.

This is another cute wreath with monogram. The burlap and ribbon make it adorable! You can find this wreath here.

This last wreath is cute also. I like the different look of having yarn and flowers made of fabric and burlap. You can find this wreath here.

Gobble Craft

Okay this is not the best picture, but this is one of the Thanksgiving projects that I did this year. It only took about a day and a half to make it. That includes stopping every few minutes to help kids. I got this project at the Wood Connection.

The kit came with all of the wood letters already cut out. I just picked the paper that I wanted to have glued on top of them. I changed mine up a little from what they did. Instead of putting paper on my turkey I used left over fabric that I had from my Thanksgiving table runner and I also stained my letters and turkey instead of painting them. I wanted a more rustic look.

Fall Table Runner and Decor

I think that this is so cute. I am sure that it has been done before, but I haven't seen it and I feel in love with it as soon as I found it. I found some cute candle holders at IKEA and the gourds at Hobby Lobby.

I went to my local Home Depot and had them cut some wood for me so that I could make this box. I then brought it home and distressed it by taking a hammer to it and beating it death. Followed by a beautiful stain job. I couldn't be more pleased with the out come.

I am also really liking the different colored pumpkins and gourds. I think that they add just the right amount of beauty to a table or any other area.

The table runner I made following the same tutorial that I used for my Halloween table runner found here

Halloween Round-Up

I love the holiday's and Halloween is no exception. I usually spend a lot of time getting ready for the season by creating new decorations to add to my already mounding stash of loot, however this year I am so close to baby #5 coming that I don't have the time or energy to start anything new.

Even though I don't have anything new to put up this year that doesn't mean that I can't keep my eyes open for new fun things for next year.

Here are a couple of ideas for Halloween next year!

 Best Halloween Mantels

Skeleton and trees. I love the colors, it goes so well with what I like and have! I found this here.

I am always looking for a cute new way to decorate pumpkins. I think that this is the cutest idea and I can't wait to try this. I found this here.

This is so cute! A Halloween count down that sits on your front porch. I really want to make something similar to this. I found this here.

Candy Corn Wreath

I finally finished one of my many projects for Halloween this year. I have so many and I kept on running into problems with other projects that I felt that I was never going to get done, so I got a simple one done today and I feel better. Just a little bit better. I think listening to Christmas music while I worked helped :)

This is so easy to make. What you will need is a foam wreath, lots of hot glue some ribbon and candy corn. I used two bags.

All you have to do is hot glue the candy corn around the wreath and when you start a new row switch the direction of the candy until you are done. Easy as that!

Once you are finished with the wreath it will look like this:

Add some cute ribbon and tie a cute bow. I used my Bowdabra to make the bow. And all finished ta-da!! It didn't take that long and it is cute. Why did I wait so long to make one of these?

Witch Boots!

I think that one of my favorite places to get ideas and crafts is the Wood Connection. That is where I found these cute witch boots. There's were orange, but I wanted mine to be purple.
They were fun and easy to make. I think from start to finish they took maybe two hours and that was giving them time to dry and me having to help my kids every once and a while.

I like them. I am glad that I made them. Check out the Wood Connection if you haven't. They have so many cute things there.
